Who is ROCshadow?

Finally this part is done, not thanks to me I
may add you'll have to thank the wonderful people who took
their time putting together the ideas of how they see me.
<g>
Why? because it was so damn hard for me to
talk about myself that I had to ask my good friends for help.
Thankfully I have the best friends ever and they came to my
rescue, <winks, thank you girls> Still I think they were
too good to me I'm not that perfect! <g>
I'm honored to have such
great bards and friends helping me out so here it is:
Kawai_300 Author of the
story "A Change Of Heart" one of my personal
favorites.<g>
H, Thank you my friend. :)
Now I know you're wondering why ROCshadow
isn't writing this since it is labeled "about me"
right? Well I understand and sympathize that it can be hard to
talk about yourself. After all you wouldn't know how your
friends see you right? (maybe you don't want to know:) but
lets get back to the subject at hand. hmm. what can I say
about Michelle other than I love that name (inside joke).
Okay here are the facts: She's from Puerto
Rico, she's 28 years old, she's in a very committed
relationship for 9 years, and she is a terrific
writer...that's a fact mich and don't let anyone tell you
different. Oh yeah she's also a fanatic of a certain TV show
we all know and love. I can't talk since I'm one too.
Now keep in mind I've only known her a few
months but in that short time I consider her to be a great
friend. She's always there to listen with an open ear when you
have a problem and is just full of helpful advice to get you
through the tough times. And I realized all this just from
talking with her over the internet since we've never
officially met.
Do you want to know how we met? Well at the
time I was struggling to finish a story that I've been stuck
on since I started it and I decided to just post all that I
had written in hopes of something inspiring to happen. And
something sure did. I get an email telling me how my story
helped ROC escape her problems, well at least for awhile. I
must say that it touched me like no other I had received
because she actually went all personal on me. We kept up in
emails and I was ecstatically surprised to hear she had
stories of her own and had me hooked from then on.
Little did she know how much her emails
helped me get over my own funk and things just started flowing
out of me. So in the end I finally finished the story and in
record time I might add, and gained a wonderful friend. Now if
you're reading this you might as well take a little more time
and check out her stories. She has two of them so take your
pick. I'm telling you it's worth it because I think she's a
great writer. Send a little note as well, you never know what
might happen with that smile you'll put on her face because of
it.
Warriorgab My beta-reader
and author of the stories "Of Love & Honour" and
"Love For Eternity, Soulmates Forever" hosted in

WG, Thank you for being my friend and for
making "Dreams" an understandable story <g>
Meet my friend Mich
SO when you're asked to talk about a
friend....what do you say? I thought it
would be difficult to articulate feelings and experiences into
words, but,
with Mich, it isn't. In an essence, she is the greatest buddy
you could
have.
OK, so how did we meet? Quite simply, about a
year ago, I offered my
services <g> as a beta reader, hoping to share my love
of Xena and the
wonderful fan fiction on the Net. And Mich answered my call! I
started beta
reading her wonderful 'Dreams' soon after. Our friendship has
grown so much
since...
SO, what's Mich like? Funny, kind hearted,
incredibly supportive,
understanding..... If it wasn't for her, I would never have
had the courage
to post any of my own work on the Net. When the Muse seemed to
have deserted
me, Mich was there kicking my proverbial butt into gear;
asking questions
which have inspired me and given me so many ideas. We're there
for one
another.
And it goes way beyond the sphere of our fan
fiction. Mich is always there
when I need her, offering sound advice, and words of wisdom.
One of the
things that strikes me the most when I think about the
friendship we've
developed over the months, is that she is always running
herself about the
language barrier. Well, let me tell you something, my friend,
if I could
converse and write in Spanish as well as you do in English,
I'd be impressed
with myself. You are an absolute star - keep up the good work!
You're the best buddy!

Balticbard, The talented
author of several stories and poems, her recently published
novel "Wretched Hearts" is a must read.
Balti, Thanks for all your advise and helpful
suggestions.
My name is Balticbard. I am a writer, and an
artist. Recently I was asked to say something about someone
that I have come to consider a friend. I will say only what I
know. What do I know about Rocshadow?
I know Rocshadow well. I know that she is a kind, loving soul,
a true friend who worries about the people that she knows.
I know that Rocshadow, or Michelle is a warm person,
understanding, she helped me write one of my most difficult
stories; "Wretched Hearts." With just reading her
emails, her words of encouragement, I was able to finish an
entire novel.
I haven't met Roc personally as of yet; but I know her; by the
most intimate way to know a person possible; by her words; a
true mark of a person. By her sentiments, by her thoughts.
All that I have to say in the end is; thanks Michelle for
being my friend. God bless you.

Clueless Sue- My best
friend from work, who's not a Xena or fanfiction fan but who
also understands my devotion to both. <g>
Note: The character Marge (Jenn's friend) is
inspired by this wonderful woman I have the honor to call my
friend.
Marce, you're the best straight friend
someone like me could have, Thank you for accepting me the way
I am.
If it is difficult writing about yourself,
just imagine how it is to write about someone you care a lot.
It was very hard to find the words to describe my wonderful
friend Mich. In fact, Mich is the most original person I have
ever met. I don't even know how we got to be friends since we
are so different. Perhaps being so different is what makes
this friendship a gift.
What can I say??? Mich & I met at work,
where she seemed to be a somewhat different person; that was
before I found out about her being XENA fan. For me, it was
kind of surprising. Soon after, I found out everything I
needed to know about her.
I mentioned she was the most original person
I ever met. Why? She stands faithfully for what she believes
and she likes (for example, her Xena posters in her room, the
magazines, the whole seasons collection in video tape, and not
to forget, the action figures!!!). I will never forget the
depression she went through when the show ended.
If you want to ask her out for dinner, Pastas
are her favorite (from elbows, to zittis, to manicotti, and
penne pasta). Hint: Take her to Olive Garden. If you want to
bring a smile out of her face, take her to Baskin Robbins for
a World Class Chocolate Ice Cream cup with whipped cream and a
few nuts.
As a friend, she is the best. She gives
herself away for her friends and her family. Sometimes I ask
myself: "Is she for real?" Always there to listen,
to give advice, and to lend you a hand whenever you need it. I
have learned a lot from her.
She also has a dog, named muffy, who wears a
shirt that reads "cyber dog". I wonder why???
Besides being the wonderful human being she
is, and a great friend, and original, she is also very
talented. For months I saw her writing something in a little
notebook during her lunch break. Yes, it was Dreams (her
baby). She never let anyone take a look at it. I always knew
that she was working on a very important story for her. When I
had the chance to enter to her web site, I found out that she
was also a damn good writer. Keep the good work Mich! I am
your #1 fan.
Love,
Clueless Sue
